One of my favorite books is The Fog of War: Lessons from the Life of Robert S. McNamara, written by James Blight and Janet Lang.
I initially read it while on active duty, and it helped me better understand the nature of warfare, and as an American citizen, understand the rationale behind actions undertaken by our past and current leaders. Robert McNamara served as Secretary of Defense under Presidents Kennedy and Johnson from 1960 to 1968. More on The Fog of War: Lessons from the Life of Robert S. McNamara

I am very picky about my eyeglasses. It's not the color or even the shape of the frames that matters to me, but the bridge. The bridge is the part of the frame that rests on the sides of the upper part of your nose so they don't slide down your face. There are different bridge types. The most common bridge type is the saddle bridge. The saddle bridge is like an upside-down U or a saddle, hence the name. More on A Tricky Nose to Fit

I have been wearing glasses since I was 6 years old and have always hated it and found it to be a nuisance. My first pair of eyeglasses were pink with Smurfette on the side. I actually lost them and my friend’s father found them before he mowed them with the lawnmower. More on Smurfette Glasses

I have used eyeglasses since 1964. I was only supposed to use them to read things on the blackboard. My first pair were rose tinted lenses, so I wore them all of the time. They looked like sunglasses, which was a blessing for a sixth grader. More on Sounds Like Glasses Are Made better Today

I have two pairs of glasses. One pair is for driving at night to cut down on the glare of the lights, and one is for reading and magnification.
I am somewhat nearsighted, and that is why I need them. I had some trouble on the eye exam "wiggly line" test. Both pairs were made by Adrienne Vittadinni for LensCrafters, where I also go for EyeExam 2000. More on A Second Pair

I have one eye that is near sighted and one that is far sighted, so I need my glasses for driving or close up work, such as reading or computer work. I have had several pair of glasses, as I tend to be very hard on them, because I am constantly putting them on and taking them off - and I'm not very gentle about it, either!
I have had all kinds of glasses - bendable, plastic, metal reading glasses, ones with snap on sunglasses and the ones that darken in the light.
My favorite pair, however, are my Kate Spade glasses. They have a medium tint and More on Nearsighted and Farsighted

I love my glasses so much that the last two times I needed a new prescription, I had the new lenses put in my old frames.
They are a gunmetal color, small, metal, and at the bottom, there's only a thin fishing line type piece holding my lens in. They also have two little magnetic parts at the temple which hold a pair of darkly tinted sunglasses, minus the arms, in place. I love this feature!
I can easily add or remove reading sunglasses as needed. Aside from that bit of coolness, I also really like the fact More on A Pair That Lasts Through Prescription Changes

I started wearing glasses in elementary school. My parents chose my first and second pairs; both of which were huge and really nerdy. My first pair even had a double nose bar. I hated wearing my glasses, and in 9th grade, begged my parents to let me get contacts. More on My Parents Chose My Glasses

I currently own a pair of Ralph Lauren polo frames. I purchased them in August of 2007 from our local Lensecrafters. They are square and are very mature looking. My dad was with me and helped me pick them out because I was torn.
I have worn glasses since I was about the age of seven. My style in glasses has remained More on Does Brand Really Matter?

For years I have worn wire frame glasses because they are light weight, thin and comfortable. I’m extremely nearsighted and find myself guilty of putting my glasses on top of my head to read a magazine or More on Small Changes Make A Big Difference
